So take the time to reflect on the Mother's in your life and how special they really are.

Are you living In The "NOW"?

Interesting question, I suppose but, living in the "Now" is critical for a great life and excelling in anything. We live in the past, future or present. What is the difference you ask? Let's start with living in the past. When we live in the past we have feelings of sadness, shame, quilt to name a few. Living in the future often brings feelings of fear or anxiety. I must confess that I have been in both of these states. How about you? Living in the present is where we want to be but, even then we can be in the present with feelings of anger, wrong goals etc. It is much better to be in the present "Now" moment in Love, Joy and Peace.

Living in the present is being content with your circumstances. This doesn't necessarily mean all is going well. True Contentment is when you are okay, no matter what. Having an attitude of gratitude for what you have is required for real true contentment. Often we aren't grateful for things unless we have experienced some lack in a situation.

I encourage you to evaluate your life and feelings and determine if you are living in the present "Now" moment. Remember it is never to late to start!

Does The Brain Have A Language?

Have you ever heard the quote "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve" taking that a little further, we learn that achievement must begin in the mind. The messages you give the mind, whether positive or negative, will be played out in the scenario of your mind and reinforced through a habitual adaptation of the your behavior.

How does this happen, you say? Well, mostly in a non-conscious manner. There's a lot about how our brains function that is conducted without us necessarily knowing about it. Most of the brains activity is on autopilot.

Here is a very short video that I thought you would enjoy!

Happy Easter Weekend!

The Butterfly is one of the significant symbols of Easter. Its whole life cycle is meant to symbolize the life of Jesus Christ. The first stage, is the caterpillar, which stands for His life on Earth. Second phase begins from the cocoon stage, portraying the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. The third and final stage is the butterfly, representing His raising from the dead in a glorified body and peace.

How is your subconscious mind sabotaging you?

Your subconscious mind has many memories stored away. When these memories are negative they can be waiting to sabotage your health both mentally and physically. Please note some memories are harmful while others aren't. Interestingly all memories have frequencies that are similar in nature to radio waves. When your memories are negative many problems can occur. These negative frequencies will trigger the Limbic System to alert the Hypothalamus and cause us to get ready to fight or run away from a given situation. Have you ever felt like that? When you identify any negative memory and heal it with a energy medicine protocol such as the Healing Codes you are less likely to have a automatic response or reaction. So what negative memories in your subconscious mind are creating a reaction and causing you ongoing sabotage?

How do the connections in the brain work in stress?

In the past few weeks I have made post about the HPA Axis and the Locus Coeruleus systems of the brain. This post will bring it all together for you to understand how they all work together as a team. A true symphony when all working properly.

************************************************************************************

The HPA axis and the locus coeruleus systems are linked through the hypothalamus and an area of the brain known as the limbic system. The limbic system is the control area for emotion and the processing area for memory. These linkages are critical. For example, if you see the bushes rustling, your locus coeruleus immediately starts things (the stress response) rolling. However, when you see that it is not a mountain lion but a golden retriever in the bushes, your memory of the tameness of the dog will turn off the stress response. Similarly, if a person is nervous before a public-speaking engagement and the first minute or two goes well, this happy feeling will turn down the activity of the locus coeruleus. These internal adjustments are why experienced public speakers often start off with a joke. It's as much to calm themselves (if the joke goes well) as it is to entertain you.

The connections also include the endogenous (within the body) opiate (opium-like) system and the reward (dopamine) system. Thereby, during stress, pain is reduced and an extremely happy feeling (euphoria) may result. These connections partially account for "runner's high" and have a great deal to do with why we like roller coasters and scary movies.

Here's how the connections work. The limbic system performs an emotional analysis and memory review of the information provided by the senses. Then, the multiplicity of connections allows us to determine whether the current stress is

•one that has been mastered in the past and successfully adapted to,

•not a threat at all, or

•a clear and present danger.

All of this internal activity must occur in milliseconds, and it does.
